For violin rentals, we strongly suggest that you deal with  a shop that has a luthier on-site to maintain and repair your instrument.

If you are interested in purchasing a violin, we recommend Hills Fine Strings (phone 403-640-3773), W.A Gough Violins Ltd.(phone 403-276-8820), and Aeolian Strings (phone 403-244-5593).  These  shops also provide repairs and maintenance for violins.

The Foothills Acoustic Music Institute holds workshops and jam camps.  More information is available on their web site at http://www.fami.ca

Rideau Music has several Calgary locations, and carries a wide variety of violin music and cd's.  http://www.rideaumusic.com/

The Bow Valley Fiddlers, and their parent group the Calgary Fiddlers hold concerts in Calgary, and we recommend that you attend at least one!  http://www.calgaryfiddlers.com/
